Wooden goddesses of Rural India

On the border with deep rurality, the belief in female deities has given birth to wooden sculptures, entangled in the lianas and shadows of the jungle of myths and rites of Eternal India. Voluntarily housed in rustic huts and collected in villages outside of time, these modest apparitions are silent about their origins and vocations. Taken too early from their cradles, unnoticed, they present their images and have become the object of some questions in this work, which has led to the search for clues regarding traces of their former lives, tossed about on Earth between small statues and the vastness of History.
