This is the struggle of one man against the powerful nations he sought to serve. The story of an ordinary, late middle-aged man who discovers a potentially world-shaking capacity and his quest to develop this for the benefit of mankind. He is confronted first with incredulity and then betrayal and abuse, as sinister powers seek to take control of his abilities for their own enrichment and power prevalence against a background of international rivalry and mistrust, of dis-united nations. David Schidlof, alias David Emesy is a single, retired Franco-British engineer; something of a craftsman, philosopher and lateral thinker. He applies his mind to very material as well as to metaphysical issues and combines them with astoundingly creative results. The matter of the mind is the practical application, the fruit if you will, of his logical thinking. He is forced to act against his will, to run, to go under cover, to reluctantly choose sides, to engage in outrageously dangerous projects and to survive in a world that seeks to exploit, or destroy him so that others may not benefit. Or to destroy him because he is perceived as a very threat to the world he longs to serve.
