Death is not the end. It is sometimes the beginning of another love, even more powerful, because irrigated with suffering. This is what Paul and Jeevu will discover... Grief and hope cross paths on the streets of Jaisalmer in India. After the tragic death of his wife and 7-year-old daughter in France, Paul travels to India to try to rebuild himself. It's then that he meets Jeevu by chance, an 8-year-old little girl, orphan, beggar and autism Asperger sufferer. But Jeevu is also a devadasi, consecrated to a goddess, and Paul quickly finds himself facing a complex system in which he must fight to help Jeevu find a home and return to school. Throughout his journey, Paul must confront the challenges of the devadasi, navigate through the Indian administration and defy the power of goddess Yellamma to reach his ultimate goal: to adopt Jeevu and give her a better life. “Devadasi Child” is a touching story of love and determination, exploring themes of loss, rebuilding and acceptance.
